Italy Dance Study Abroad Now Accepting Applications
Students will be actively immersed in Italian and French culture and presented rich study content in Dance History, Pedagogy, and Choreography in Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, Florence, and Castellana Grotte. Students will participate in historical lecture and movement experiences, utilize local architecture and artistic masterworks as a catalyst for the creation of movement and study of compositional structure, and learn the origins of the Italian/French methodology of ballet training while on location. They will also participate with other students and professionals in a global dance workshop studying a variety of dance forms and choreography with internationally renowned faculty. Students will have performance opportunities as part of the workshop and have the option to participate in an international dance competition.

Healing the “S.A.F.E.” way

The adroit teacher circled the group with perfect posture, walking as gracefully and carefully as a lion. The dancers immediately sat up and watched carefully as the master demonstrated his literally groundbreaking poses and stretches on the ground.
