I am a freshman at BYU. I am currently studying commercial music in voice and guitar. I hope to be a songwriter and producer. I also want to be a music therapist because music has helped me so much in my life. I have been clogging for 13 years. I love to spend time with my family and I loved my visit to China.
Reflections on Visiting China
I learned so many wonderful things on this trip to China. This was the first time that I have been out of the country and I thought the Chinese culture was so beautiful and unique. My favorite part of the trip was talking to the audience after the show. Even though I couldn’t understand them, I felt so much love and happiness from them. They were so gracious to us and so genuine. The biggest thing I learned on this trip is that we are not very different from one another. We are all human and all experience similar things no matter where we are around the world. I came to love the people in China and was so inspired by their respect and joy for life. I have never felt more welcome by any other group of people. I’m so glad I got to go and share my talents with them and have them share theirs with me.
