Reflections on Visiting China
I had the most amazing and wonderful experiences on this tour in Beijing. I was humbled and awed as I got to know some of the most amazing people, and learn about Chinese culture. As I talked to audience members after the show, taught the Beijing dancers to play ninja, met some of the students at the university we visited, and encountered everyday people on the streets, a seed of love started to sprout in my heart.
This love for the people of Beijing only grew bigger as we had the opportunity to see some of the most prominent historical sites in Beijing and experience their traditional culture. Each day we were there, the love I felt for the people and the culture of China increased. I learned that love and happiness are universal languages which can be felt by everyone, everywhere. I am so thankful for the opportunity I had to share my talents in Beijing, and hope that I will be able to carry the memories I made there with me forever.
