Adeena Lago graduated with her degree in Dance Education from BYU in 1984 and her Master of Fine Arts in dance from the University of Utah in 1991. Lago has taught dance at both the high school and university level; she taught high school dance for 32 years, and has also taught at Utah State University, Weber State University and Salt Lake Community College. Lago was awarded the Utah Association for Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance Outstanding Dance Educator in 1997, and the Utah High School Activities Association Drill Team Coach of the Year three times. She also was recognized as a Granite District Excel Outstanding Educator in 2005 and was given the Sorenson Legacy Award for excellence as the Outstanding Arts Educator for the state of Utah in 2018. Adeena Lago will be teaching technique and theory, workshop, practicum and curriculum design as well as assisting with student teacher supervision. She is married and has 3 amazing children and 2 grandchildren.
