BYU’S DEPARTMENT OF DANCE LAUNCHES NEW SEASON WITH ‘WORLD OF DANCE’

Audience will enjoy Dance’s top companies perform a professionally diverse showcase

The BYU Department of Dance will present “World of Dance” Sept. 19-21 in the de Jong Concert Hall in the Harris Fine Arts Center. BYU’s Ballroom Dance Company, Contemporary Dance Theatre, International Folk Dance Ensemble, Living Legends and Theatre Ballet are set to perform a sneak peak of the 2019-2020 season.

Each year, the dancers and directors of BYU’s nationally and internationally recognized dance ensembles come together to create a diverse concert that has become one of the most popular performances on campus.

“World of Dance is a one of a kind concert that presents the premier performances from the five top dance companies in the department,” said Curt Holman, the chair of the Department of Dance.

The dancers and directors involved in this performance work tirelessly to make such a beautiful performance possible this early in the school year. Audience members can look forward to the unique blend of genres that create a professional and captivating concert.
